I am a writer, editor, publisher and comms consultant. Through my independent publishing company, LSC, I have launched, edited and written for a host of highly regarded magazines and websites, covering subjects as diverse as food, culture, weather, parenting and the Marylebone district of London.
As a consultant, I work with brands on a wide range of projects, from communications strategies, messaging and tone of voice to content creation, editing and policy writing. Current and former clients include Borough Market, Big Green Egg, Neal’s Yard Dairy, Marylebone Food Festival, Nordoff & Robbins, The Howard de Walden Estate and The Portman Estate.
My first book, Borough Market: Edible Histories, was published by Hodder & Stoughton in November 2020 and was shortlisted in the debut food book category of the Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Awards 2021.
BOROUGH MARKET: EDIBLE HISTORIES
Book
Writer
As a world-famous, centuries-old food market, Borough Market is the perfect place to not only taste and experience our nation’s favourite foodstuffs but also reflect on their history. My debut book is a collection of essays, expanded and developed from a popular column in Market Life, which celebrate the surprising past of some of the common produce whose presence we take entirely for granted—from strawberries to spaghetti, from tomatoes to tea.

MARKET LIFE
Magazine
Publisher, editor and writer
As somebody who loves good food and cares about the impact of our food system on people and the planet, it was a pleasure to edit, publish and write for Market Life, the bi-monthly magazine of London’s Borough Market for over a decade. The magazine tackled big issues and small pleasures with equal relish, and its pages featured the country’s very best food writers, chefs, campaigners and food policy experts as well as inspiring characters from within the Market.

MARYLEBONE JOURNAL
Magazine
Publisher, editor and writer
My first proper job in journalism was as the founding editor, subeditor, writer, salesman and delivery driver of the newly launched Marylebone Journal, a local magazine supported by one of the area’s historic estates, The Howard de Walden Estate. I’m still editing the Journal, but with an expert team now doing most of the work for me. The Portman Estate, Marylebone’s other major landlord, is now the co-sponsor, and the magazine is a well-established titan of local London journalism.
